An older TED talk, but an interesting and relevant one. Copyright extremism, with the proliferation of DRM technologies and vilification of regular consumers on one hand and copyright abolitionism (“information must be free!”) on the other, is worse than ever and we are in dire need of some balanced viewpoints that allow us to reward creators for their effort while giving culture the raw materials of creative output that it needs to develop and change.

“Larry Lessig, the Net’s most celebrated lawyer, cites John Philip Sousa, celestial copyrights and the “ASCAP cartel” in his argument for reviving our creative culture.”
